Information Security Engineer

Job Description:

The Information Security Engineer/Administrator (McAfee) will be a part of the Information Security Engineering team, working to deploy/maintain cutting-edge tools for discovering and preventing today’s sophisticated intrusions and eradicating advanced persistent threats. The Engineer/Administrator will provide full life-cycle IT Security Technology supports, including: Product Evaluation, Product Deployment, Configuration and Maintenance, and Tier 3 or Third-Level Support for McAfee products.

 Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The Information Security Engineer (ISE) will provide support of McAfee server-based products, such as:
    • McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO)
    • McAfee Endpoint Security (ENS) and ENS for Windows/Linux
    • McAfee Full Disk Encryption (FDE)
    • McAfee Device Control (DC)
    • McAfee Removable Media, File, Folder & DLP
    • McAfee Virus Scan Enterprise Storage (VSES)
    • McAfee SIEM
    • McAfee System Information Reporter (SIR)
    • McAfee Host Intrusion Protection (HIPS) for Windows/Linux
  • The ISE provides support for integration of McAfee server services to laptops and/or desktops
  • The ISE develops technical documentation including, but not limited to:
    • Stakeholder requirements documentation
    • System architecture diagrams (Visio)
    • Test plans
    • Installation/Deployment Procedures
    • Deployment schedules
    • System performance analysis
  • The ISE navigates client change control processes with effective written and verbal communication skills
  • The ISE coordinates with other intersecting organizations, assist user community, communicate with vendors, and adapt to a technically challenging environment

 Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or greater in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Security or Minimum of four (4) years of experience in IT design, engineering, configuration, development and support
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in McAfee product administration/engineering
  • Interact effectively with stakeholders and quickly adapt to changing requirements
  • Commitment to accuracy, attention to detail, and deliverable quality
  • Ability to work on call support as needed
  • Other duties as assigned by management
  • English language fluency, strong written and verbal communication skills

 Desired Qualifications:

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or other IT Security certification
  • McAfee ePO training or other McAfee product training

 Preferred Experience:

  • Change Management
  • Windows or UNIX systems administration
  • ITIL Framework and best practices
